René has over 30 years of engineering and consulting experience in Program Management, Chemical Engineering, Fluid Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Life Safety Code. He has a Master’s Degree in Civil-Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisiana. René is an author with several publications and he currently holds a patent. Mr. Borrel’s background and experience bring a diverse engineering expertise to ERS. He has been involved in various projects, including: the design of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems; effluent treatment system; culvert, storm drain, levee, dike and roadway designs. His process engineering areas of focus have included: cost management efforts and process improvement activities, as well as complaint resolution relating to the manufacturing processes. René has conducted numerous process improvement studies pertaining to manufacturing and industrial environmental construction projects. As a structural engineer, he also develops the Best Management Practices as required by the EPA Environmental rules. Professional Societies / Affiliates
